JKUAT Karen

Our main objective is to nurture individuals into world class diplomats and future leaders. The chapter is located at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Karen Campus.

JKUAT Karen Chapter

The chapter exposes the members to various issues, both local and global, during our meetings to help find the answer to a very important question which is, what can we as KenyaMUN members do to make a difference?

The chapter has been growing and has a total of fifty two members who actively participated in the events held both in and out of school in the 19th session and look forward to the 20th session. The members of the General Assembly meet every Wednesday from 8:30am to 10:30am, those of the International Court of Justice meet every Tuesday from 3:00pm to 5:pm and those of the International Law Commission meet every Monday from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the moot court in the school of law. Where they sharpened not only their life skills such as confidence and public speaking among others but also on their knowledge on various issues affecting the society at large.

LOCAL SECRETARIAT

A second year student at the JKUAT school of Law. He has been an active member of the Kenya Model United Nations since the 18th session where he has participated in both, the General Assembly and International Court of Justice. He currently serves as the Under Secretary General of the 20th Session. It is his vision, dedication and courage that propel him to give his best for the chapter by using his strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, leadership and management skills.

She is student at JKUAT Karen Campus pursuing Law. She has found her experience in Kenya Model United Nations rewarding as it has opened her up to the world and international policy. She looks forward to serving her chapter during the 20th Session as the Deputy Under Secretary General.  

A third year law student at JKUAT Karen Campus. She participated in the 19th Session KenyaMUN as a Delegate in both, the Mock Debate and the Annual Conference. She's also a member of the GA Bureau for the 20th Session. What she admires most in KenyaMUN is the ability to incorporate and integrate individuals specializing in different fields, granting them an avenue to debate and share views on various issues of global significance.

He is pursuing law at JKUAT Karen campus, the current chair of the International Law Commission (ILC) at the JKUAT Karen chapter and a bureau member of the same commission. His experience in KenyaMUN has been an intense, fun learning experience where he has also met amazing people.  

A skilled mooter, an avid debater, an intriguing writer and a Judge of the 20th Session KenyaMUN's International Court of Justice after having shown tenacious skill and capabilities in the various moots he's participated in. He has been featured in academic blogs such as the academia.edu as well as having fictional writings of his own.
As a leader he is currently serving as the President of the ICJ in the JKUAT Karen Chapter. He is an all rounded, diligent and able individual who occasionally loves to ride his bike.

She is passionate about international affairs, humanitarian rights, community outreach and mentorship programmes.
She believes that KenyaMUN is best fit for her to actualize her aspirations.

She is studying Law at JKUAT Karen campus.
Her KenyaMUN experience has given her the opportunity to interact with a lot of different people which not surprisingly has increased her knowledge about the society on how she can help.

He is a senior student of law at JKUAT Karen. She has been a member of KenyaMUN for two years now, as a member of the GA and ICJ respectively. She has served as the Co-chair for International MUN. She has great passion in diplomacy and international relations. She also loves listening to music, socializing and reading non-fictions. One of her best quote is from Martin Luther King Jr, "Everyone has the power for greatness, not for fame but greatness because greatness is determined by service."

A 2nd year law student at JKUAT Karen campus and a member of KenyaMUN where she has been an active member since the 19th session. She's passionate in charity works and community development as well as putting her dedication in KenyaMUN to impact positively to the society and making it her intention to serve through her life with purpose and resilience.
