The Office of the Deputy Secretary General & Head of Partnerships

In the absence of the Secretary- General, the Deputy Secretary- General assumes the functions of the office. The Deputy Secretary General is in charge of all partnerships and such, the Head of Partnerships.

The Deputy Secretary- General oversees the various ad-hoc committees and as such all chairpersons of the committees report to the Deputy Secretary General.

The Deputy Secretary General ensures that all deadlines set by the National Secretariat in relation to the activities of the society are met and perform such other tasks as may be appointed from time to time by the National Secretariat within the framework of the duties of the Secretary General.

The Deputy Secretary General ensures that all chapters are sufficiently prepared on the rules of procedure of the Security Council.

PARTNERSHIPS OFFICE

The Partnerships Office is run by the Deputy Secretary-General who shall act as the Head of the Partnership Office. As the Head of the Partnership Office, the Deputy Secretary-General has the power to appoint as many members as they deem necessary for the effective functioning of the office.

These members are appointed based on merit, and the value and experience they shall bring to the office. Additionally, the Deputy Secretary-General can create any new roles within the partnerships as the need arises.

Objectives of the Partnerships Office

  1. Identify and seek opportunities for partnerships that are in line with the goals and objectives of the organization.
  2. Build on and manage relationships with current and potential partners.
  3. Draft concept notes and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). Write proposals, reports and anything else that will aid in the facilitation of partnerships.
  4. Evaluate the feasibility of any partnership proposals brought forward.
